Optimizing my blog

The Web is becoming less optimized, it seems. It's 2016 but my LG Wine Smart Quad-core 1.1 GHz processor phone still loads modern webpages designed specifically for mobile with hiccups. Most of this is due to a massive use of jQuery and other JavaScript scripts which significantly increase page loading times.

But I don't browse the web on my phone too often. I'm still using an 8-year-old IBM ThinkPad X41 laptop for that. Even to write this blog post. I have no right to complain here. I am not gonna do that, instead, I'll just optimize this blog like it's 1994 all over again.

So bear with me on this technological web journey as you will see my blog change from time to time until it reaches its complete form.
